Manitou Park important administrative update

Message from Julie Ray, Director of Schools

Hello Manitou Park families,

I have an important announcement for next school year.

Principal Taylor has accepted the position of principal at Washington Elementary School and will be leaving Manitou Park at the end of the school year. I am grateful for her care and dedication to the Manitou Park students, staff, and community.

I’m happy to share that Arron Wilkins, the current principal at Giaudrone Middle School, has been selected as the new principal, effective July 1. Mr. Wilkins has worked in Tacoma Public Schools since 2002.

I know Principal Taylor will work with Mr. Wilkins to ensure a smooth transition for students, staff, and families. Please join me in welcoming Mr. Wilkins to the Manitou Park community.
